A Sustainable Landscaping Mini-Expo
April 24, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Free
Your yard is a place to chill and relax, but it is also part of the local ecosystem. As part of Earth Day, please join us to check out electric landscaping equipment, learn about organic lawn care techniques, and dive into native plants.
Several local organizations and businesses will be on hand for this low-key, drop-in event. For example, we are delighted to announce that Quiet Princeton will be on hand to share advice on sustainable landscaping and mulching. In addition, Judith Robinson, a Native Plant Garden Designer, will share her knowledge about native plants and show off a few of them. We are thrilled that The Watershed Institute, D & R Greenway, Princeton Environmental Commission, and Shade Tree Commission will also set up tables, so please stop by!
We will also have several different electric equipment and models for you to check out, including a robot mower! A few eager residents will be joining us to show off their favorite battery-powered mowers, blowers, tillers, leaf shredders, hedge trimmers, line trimmers, and more. Stop by and get practical advice from those who are actually using this equipment.
This event will be held outdoors in the expansive courtyard of the Princeton Shopping Center. We will have plenty of room to maintain social distance, so please wear your mask and plan to stay six feet apart from those not from your household. We also ask all who are feeling unwell to stay at home. This includes those with a regular cough, fever, running nose, or if you have a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis.
