Join your fellow STAR Neighborhoods in a Swap Party on Saturday, August 26 from 2-4pm at 1 Monument Drive! This will be a fun opportunity to meet other STAR Neighbors and swap gently-loved household items – helping to reduce waste and extend the life of your stuff. Not in a STAR Neighborhood but want to learn more? Come to the Swap Party! The event is open to all! Light refreshments will be provided.

Swap Party Rules:

• Each participant must bring at least one item to swap.
• No clothing items (shoes, accessories) are permitted!
• All items must be gently used or in nearly new and working condition.
• Categories for items include: home, appliances, landscaping, entertainment (books, music, movies), games, puzzles and toys, and fitness equipment.

The Swap Party will also include R+K Smiles!

R+K Smiles is Ryan and Kyle Grzymala, two brothers who take gently used toys from families who no longer have a need for them and give them back to the community for other kids to play with and love. In addition to the freecycling of gently used toys, they also donate any new/mint in-box items to Homefront.
They welcome all donations of toys, games, and puzzles. However, they do not accept video games, stuffed animals, or primarily fabric items such as dolls, etc. They will be checking that all toys meet certain standards so we can deliver them to other entities. All toy items that are not swapped will be donated to R+K Smiles, and they will also accept direct donations during the event.
