Sustainable Princeton hosted the 3rd annual Sustainable Home Expo on Saturday, March 14th. This free community event brought together sustainable contractors, solar installers, landscapers, and community resources for residents to make their spaces more sustainable.
This year, the location was the Princeton Middle School, in the cafeteria and the main hallway, allowing for over 30 vendors, 4 educational sessions, a used clothing drop off, and more!
An estimated 320 people joined us to speak directly with local sustainable professionals and learn from expert speakers on a variety of topics.
The Expo Floor
The cafeteria held 1 restaurant, 3 solar installers, 3 banks, 3 community resource organizations, 7 yard & garden businesses, and 6 home improvement professionals. The hallway held 2 Welcome/SP tables, 3 yard & garden organizations, 3 municipal commissions, 1 home improvement business, and 1 energy efficiency business.
Also on the expo floor was a Helpsy Clothing Drive where 1,936 lbs of used clothing were collected and saved from the landfill.Â
Educational Sessions
Four educational sessions were held. All were held in the auditorium except for Sustainable Yards and Gardens, which was held in the library/multimedia center.
