STAR Neighborhoods Planted 400 Native Plugs

This April, Sustainable Princeton provided 8 STAR Neighborhoods with a variety of native plants from Pinelands Nursery.

A total of 400 native plant plugs were distributed to the following neighborhoods: Bouvant/White Oak, Caldwell, Grover Gang, Harrison Park, Laurel & Mt Lucas, Princeton Community Village, Stony Brook, and Wheatsheaf Lane.

Plants included: Orange Coneflower (Rudbeckia fulgida,) New York Aster (Symphyotrichum novi-belgii,) Foxglove Beardtongue (Penstemon digitalis,) Cardinal Flower (Lobelia cardinalis,) and Blue Flag Iris (Iris versicolor).

Thanks to our STAR Neighborhood Leaders for distributing them to their neighbors, and sending us photos of their planting!
