Dear Compost Program Participant,
At the end of January 2020, it will be one year since Princeton suspended its curbside composting program – the first such program in New Jersey. The cost for hauling had doubled. That, and the lack of a nearby facility able to accept our waste forced the municipality to put the program on hold in hopes we could develop a more viable alternative. We have been working on addressing commercial users’ needs, and the needs of apartment dwellers, as well as resuming the residential curbside program.
